Louisiana Driver License Requirements at-a-glance:

*Drivers must be 15-years-old to obtain a Learning Permit
*You must have your Learner’s Permit for at least six months
*No required amount of supervised driving time
*16 years, six months is the minimum age for a driver’s license
*A road test is required
*Student drivers under age 17 are prohibited from driving between 11p.m. and 5a.m. unless they are supervised by a guardian or licensed driver over age 21.
*Learner’s Permit holders can have passengers as long as a licensed driver age 21 or older is riding in the front passenger seat.
