FRIENDLY DRIVING SCHOOLFAQ's

Can you tell me if FRIENDLY DRIVING SCHOOL is a certified driver training school in New Jersey?
Although FRIENDLY DRIVING SCHOOL is listed on our list of driving schools in your area, we are unable to say with certainty as to whether they are currently certified to teach driver training courses in New Jersey.  We recommend either calling FRIENDLY DRIVING SCHOOL directly or the New Jersey DMV to find out whether or not FRIENDLY DRIVING SCHOOL offers hands-on driving courses that are state-approved.
Could I just have my mother or father teach me how to drive instead of paying money to take a professional behind-the-wheel training course?
It depends on which state you live in.  There are some states which allow you to complete your hands-on driver training with a parent or guardian instead of enrolling in a professional driving school.  However many states require that new drivers take a professionally-taught driver training course.  We recommend that you check with your state's DMV office to find out if your parent or guardian can fill the role as your behind-the-wheel driving instructor.
I have no clue how to drive a manual-shift vehicle. What happens if FRIENDLY DRIVING SCHOOL makes me train on a stick-shift vehicle?
Considering the fact you are a brand new driver, you probably don't know much about operating ANY type of vehicle....stick OR automatic!  If you prefer to do your hands-on driver training with an automatic-shift vehicle, you may want to call FRIENDLY DRIVING SCHOOL and let them know before you sign up to take their driver training course.  That way you'll know for sure whether FRIENDLY DRIVING SCHOOL will be able to accommodate you before you pay them any money.
I live in a remote area, that has a lot of dirt roads and bumpy terrain. Will FRIENDLY DRIVING SCHOOL teach me how to drive in BOTH city AND rural environments?
If you live in a rural area, chances are very good that a local driving school like FRIENDLY DRIVING SCHOOL will want you to be taught how to drive safely on the local area's terrain.
After I turn 14, will I be eligible to get my instruction permit so I can begin to learn how to drive?
It depends on which state you live in, however most states unfortunately require you to be at least 15 (or sometimes 15 1/2) before you can be issued a learner's permit.  We suggest that you contact a local driver training school such as FRIENDLY DRIVING SCHOOL or the New Jersey DMV office to learn more about the minimum age requirement for driving in New Jersey.
I live in IRVINGTON New Jersey. Does the law say I have to take both a driver ed classroom or online course and a driver training course in order to be fully-licensed here?
Each state has its own laws in regards to licensing procedures.  However, most states do require that new, teen-aged drivers successfully complete both a driver training course plus either a drivers education online course or drivers education classroom course .
