Fountain Driving SchoolFAQ's

Fountain Driving School's address and phone number is listed on your webpage. How can I know for sure if it is a licensed behind the wheel training school in Texas?
Even though we provide a list of driver training schools on our website, we have no way of knowing for sure as to whether or not a particular school is certified by the Texas DMV to offer behind-the-wheel training courses.  We strongly suggest that you contact Fountain Driving School directly or check with the Texas DMV to find out for sure if Fountain Driving School is a licensed school.
I've been told that either of my parents can supervise my driver training, so I don't have to attend a Houston Texas driving school like Fountain Driving School to fulfill my driver training requirement. Do you know if that's true or not?
You will need to contact the Texas DMV or a state-approved driver training school like Fountain Driving School to find out.  Some states do allow parent-taught driving, but many states do not.
Do you know if Fountain Driving School will let me complete my driver training using an automatic-shift vehicle? I don't know anything about using a manual-shift.
Considering you're a brand new driver, you probably don't know a whole lot about driving ANY type of vehicle, be it a stick OR an automatic!  Nevertheless, if you have a preference, you probably should contact Fountain Driving School and see if they can accommodate you before registering for their behind-the-wheel training course.
I don't live anywhere near a city. There are unpaved roads and rugged terrain all around my house. How do I know if Fountain Driving School will train me on how to drive in a remote area like where I live and not just teach me how to drive in a town-or city-type environment?
Since Fountain Driving School is a local driver training company in your area, it's a safe bet that Fountain Driving School will be motivated (or perhaps required) to teach its local customers how to drive on rugged terrain.  If you want to make certain, however, you may want to call Fountain Driving School to find out exactly what's included in their behind-the-wheel training course before you sign up with them.
After I turn 14, will I be eligible to obtain my learner's permit so I can begin to learn how to drive?
It depends on which state you live in, however most states unfortunately require you to be at least 15 (or sometimes 15 1/2) before you can be issued a learner's permit.  We suggest that you contact a local driver training school such as Fountain Driving School or the Texas DMV office to learn more about the minimum age requirement for driving in Texas.
Will I be required to enroll in both a drivers education classroom or online course and a behind-the-wheel training course in Houston Texas?
It depends on which state you live in, but many states now require new teen-aged drivers to register for both a drivers education course as well as a behind-the-wheel training course.
Texas law says that I must enroll in a driver training course in order to get licensed to drive in Houston Texas. Is this something that Fountain Driving School can help me with?
Yes, Fountain Driving School offers the Texas-approved hands-on driver training course.  For more information about their classes and instruction schedule, please contact Fountain Driving School directly.
What do I need to do to get a Texas drivers license in Houston Texas?
Most states require that teen-agers who are applying for their first driver's license complete both a drivers education classroom course and a behind-the-wheel training course.  Fountain Driving School may be able to help you fulfill the driver training portion in Texas.  Please contact Fountain Driving School for more information.

Is it necessary for me to take a driver training course in order to get my first Texas driver's license?
Yes, it is.  All teen-aged drivers applying for their first driver's license in Texas must complete a state-approved driver training course.
Is it all right if I enroll in a behind-the-wheel training school like Fountain Driving School prior to my obtaining my learner's permit?
In most states, you are required to have already gotten your instruction permit before you sign up to take your behind-the-wheel training course like the one offered by Fountain Driving School.  We suggest you contact either Fountain Driving School to find out more information.
