Aces Driving SchoolFAQ's

Are all the driving schools listed on your website fully-licensed by the California DMV to offer behind-the-wheel training courses in California?
The driving school directory on our website is for your convenience only, and we cannot absolutely guarantee that every driving school listed is currently accredited to offer driving training courses in California.  We suggest you contact the California DMV to make sure a particular driving school is licensed before you register for their driver training course.
Could I just have my mother or father give me my behind-the-wheel training instead of paying money to attend a professional driver training course?
It depends on which state you live in.  There are some states which permit you to complete your hands-on driver training with a parent or guardian instead of enrolling in a professional driving school.  However many states require that first-time drivers take a professionally-taught behind-the-wheel training course.  We recommend that you ask your state's DMV office to find out if your parent or guardian can fill the role as your behind-the-wheel driving instructor.
I have no clue how to drive a stick-shift vehicle. What happens if Aces Driving School makes me train on a manual-shift vehicle?
Considering the fact you are a brand new driver, you probably don't know much about operating ANY type of vehicle....manual OR automatic!  If you prefer to do your hands-on driver training with an automatic-shift vehicle, you may want to call Aces Driving School and let them know before you enroll in their driver training course.  That way you'll know for sure whether Aces Driving School will be able to accommodate you before you pay them any money.
I live in a small mountain community, where there are a lot of small, unpaved roads. Will my behind-the-wheel training with Aces Driving School include being taught how to drive in remote areas? Or do they just offer training for urban driving?
Most local driving schools will likely want their students to be taught how to drive safely in the local area.  Therefore, chances are good that the behind-the-wheel training you receive from Aces Driving School will include handling dirt roads and mountain driving.
After I turn 14, will I be eligible to get my learner's permit so I can begin to learn how to drive?
It depends on which state you live in, however most states unfortunately require you to be at least 15 (or sometimes 15 1/2) before you can be issued a learner's permit.  We suggest that you contact a local driver training school such as Aces Driving School or the California DMV office to learn more about the minimum age requirement for driving in California.
Do you know if the laws in California require new teen-aged drivers to register for a behind-the-wheel training course in addition to a driver ed classroom or online course?
The laws vary from state to state, but many states do require you to successfully complete a driver training course with "hands-on" practice in addition to a drivers education classroom or online course.
If I need to sign up to take a Encinitas California driving school, can Aces Driving School help?
Yes.  Aces Driving School offers driving instruction in Encinitas California.  For more information about the type of behind-the-wheel training Aces Driving School offers and the training schedule, you should contact them directly.
How do I get a drivers license in Encinitas California?
In most states, pre-licensed teens are required to complete both a classroom safe driving course and a behind-the-wheel training course.  Aces Driving School may be able to help you meet the driver training portion in California.
What does the law in California say about driver training courses? Do I have to take one to get my driver's license?
Yes, you do.  California law states that new drivers successfully complete an approved behind-the-wheel training course as a prerequisite to getting their first driver's license.
Can I enroll in a California-licensed driver training course even if I don't have my California instruction permit yet?
Most likely, no.  Most states have laws that mandate a pre-licensed driver to have obtained a California learners permit before registering in a California driver training course.  It would be best for you to contact a driving school such as Aces Driving School and ask for more information.
