R & M Traffic SchoolFAQ's

How do I know if R & M Traffic School is licensed by California's DMV to offer driver training courses?
While we do include R & M Traffic School's contact information in our driving school directory, we cannot say with certainty as to whether R & M Traffic School is certified by the State of California.  We recommend that you either contact R & M Traffic School directly or possibly the California DMV to find out if R & M Traffic School is a certified driver training school.
Do I have to take a driver training course? Can't my parents just give me my driver training?
There are some states that do permit parents or guardians to provide their teen-aged kids' required driver training in order to obtain a driver's license.  However many states do not allow any type of substitution for attending a professionally-taught behind-the-wheel training course.  We suggest you contact your state's DMV to find out what the laws are in your state regarding hands-on driving instruction.
What if I don't know how to drive a vehicle with a manual-shift? Does R & M Traffic School have an automatic-shift vehicle they'll let me train with?
Since you're just learning how to drive, you probably don't know how to operate either a manual-shift or an automatic-shift vehicle!  However, if you have a preference as to a stick or an automatic, you probably should call R & M Traffic School to see if they can accommodate your request prior to your enrolling in their driver training course.
I live in a rural area, that has a lot of dirt roads and bumpy terrain. Will R & M Traffic School teach me how to drive in BOTH city AND rural environments?
If you live in a remote area, chances are very good that a local driver training school like R & M Traffic School will want you to be trained in driving specific to the local area's terrain.
After I turn 14, will I be eligible to obtain my instruction permit so I can begin to learn how to drive?
It depends on which state you live in, however most states unfortunately require you to be at least 15 (or sometimes 15 1/2) before you can be issued a instruction permit.  We suggest that you contact a local driver training school such as R & M Traffic School or the California DMV office to learn more about the minimum age requirement for driving in California.
Can I take R & M Traffic School's behind-the-wheel training course before taking a Asuza California drivers education classroom course or online course?
It depends on what California's laws say.  However, you should know that most states will require teen-aged, first-time drivers to complete both a drivers education classroom course (which are approximately 30 hours in length, depending on California's laws) or an approved online course, plus a state-approved behind-the-wheel training course.  We recommend that you contact R & M Traffic School directly to see if they offer either (or both) of these courses.
If I need to enroll in a Asuza California behind-the-wheel training program, can R & M Traffic School help?
Yes.  R & M Traffic School offers behind-the-wheel training courses in Asuza California.  For more information about the type of behind-the-wheel training R & M Traffic School offers and the training schedule, you should contact them directly.
What type of driver ed do I need before California will give me a driver's license?
Each state has its own requirements concerning drivers education, although you should know that most states now mandate all new, young drivers to enroll in a drivers education classroom or online course as well as a behind-the-wheel training course.  R & M Traffic School may be able to help you meet the driver training requirement in California.  Please contact either R & M Traffic School or the California DMV for more information.
I live in Asuza California and would like to apply for my first driver's license. Do I need to take a driver training course before I can be licensed?
California law requires that all first-time drivers enroll in an approved behind-the-wheel training program before receiving their California driver's license.  R & M Traffic School may offer a behind-the-wheel training course that you are looking for.  Please contact R & M Traffic School directly for complete information as to what types of driver training courses they offer.
Can I enroll in a California driver training course prior to having my California learners permit?
Most states require pre-licensed drivers to hold a instruction permit before being permitted to register for a driver training course.  You should contact a driving school like R & M Traffic School and ask for more information.
