Major Driving SchoolFAQ's

Is Major Driving School an approved driving school in Michigan?
Just because a driving school appears on our directory of driver training institutions, we cannot guarantee that they are fully licensed to offer hands-on driving courses in Michigan.  We highly recommend that you contact Major Driving School directly or the Michigan DMV to find out for sure if Major Driving School offers driver training courses that have been approved by the State of Michigan.
Will the Michigan DMV allow my parents to supervise my driving practice instead of requiring me to take a behind-the-wheel training course at a state-approved driving school?
Possibly.  Some states will allow your parents to supervise your driving practice in place of taking a driver training course with a professional driving instructor.  You will need to contact the Michigan DMV to find out if your driver training may be done by your parents in Michigan.
What happens if I don't know how to drive a manual-shift vehicle? Will Major Driving School allow me to do my behind-the-wheel training with an automatic-shift car?
Considering you're a brand new driver, you probably don't know much about operating any type of automobile--manual-shift or automatic-shift!  However, if you prefer to complete your driver training using an automatic-shift vehicle, you should contact Major Driving School and let them know before you sign up to take their driver training course.  That way you will know for certain if they will accommodate you.
I live in a remote area, that has a lot of dirt roads and bumpy terrain. Will Major Driving School train me how to drive in BOTH city AND rural environments?
If you live in a rural area, chances are very good that a local driver training school like Major Driving School will want you to be taught how to drive safely on the local area's terrain.
I just turned 14 years old. Am I eligible to apply for my instruction permit in Michigan?
Probably not.  The minimum age requirement for holding an instruction permit in most states is 15 1/2.  You should contact the Michigan Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driving school such as Major Driving School to find out more information about the minimum age requirement in Michigan.
Will I be required to enroll in both a drivers education classroom or online course and a driver training course in Flint Michigan?
It depends on which state you live in, but many states now mandate new teen-aged drivers to register for both a drivers education course as well as a behind-the-wheel training course.
If I need to register for a Flint Michigan driver training program, can Major Driving School help?
Yes.  Major Driving School offers behind-the-wheel training courses in Flint Michigan.  For more information about the type of driver training Major Driving School offers and the training schedule, you should contact them directly.
Exactly what type of driver training do I need in Flint Michigan before I can get my Michigan driver's license?
The prerequisites for getting a driver's licenses vary from state to state, however most states now require teen-agers who are looking to get their first driver's license to sign up to take a drivers education classroom course as well as a behind-the-wheel training course.  We suggest that you contact a local driver training company such as Major Driving School and ask if they offer a Michigan-approved  driver training course which would satisfy Michigan's driver's education requirements.
Is there a law in Michigan that says I have to take driver training in order to get my driver's license?
