Buckle Up Driving SchoolFAQ's

Since Buckle Up Driving School appears on your website, does this mean they are approved by the Ohio DMV to offer behind-the-wheel training courses?
The list of driving schools on our webpage is provided as a convenience to our customers only.  We CANNOT guarantee that every single school listed is fully-approved by the Ohio DMV.  You may want to call Buckle Up Driving School directly to find out if they offer a state-certified behind-the-wheel training course.
Could I just have my mother or father give me my behind-the-wheel training instead of paying money to take a professional behind-the-wheel training course?
It depends on which state you live in.  There are some states which permit you to complete your behind-the-wheel training with a parent or guardian instead of attending a professional driving school.  However many states require that new drivers take a professionally-taught driver training course.  We recommend that you ask your state's DMV office to find out if your parent or guardian can fill the role as your behind-the-wheel driving instructor.
I can't operate a stick-shift. Will Buckle Up Driving School allow me to do my behind-the-wheel training on an automatic-shift vehicle?
We recommend that you contact Buckle Up Driving School and ask them if you can do your behind-the-wheel training using a vehicle that has an automatic shift before registering for their behind-the-wheel training course.
The area in which I live is mostly undeveloped--very few paved roads and mountains are all around. Will Buckle Up Driving School be able to teach me how to drive safely on rugged terrain as well as in a city or town?
Considering that you live in a rural area, chances are excellent that a local driving school like Buckle Up Driving School will want you to be able to drive safely on dirt roads and other types of bumpy terrain.  You may wish to contact Buckle Up Driving School to find out exactly what their behind-the-wheel training course includes before enrolling in their training course.
I just turned 14 years old. Can I receive my instruction permit in Ohio?
Probably not.  The minimum age requirement for holding an instruction permit in most states is 15 1/2.  You should contact the Ohio Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driving school such as Buckle Up Driving School to find out more information about the minimum age requirement in Ohio.
Do I have to complete a Cincinnati Ohio drivers education classroom course or online course before enrolling in one of Buckle Up Driving School's behind-the-wheel training courses?
Each state has its own rules, but most states will require first-time drivers to take both a behind-the-wheel training course plus either a drivers education classroom course (which are about 30 hours in length) or an approved online drivers education course.  You may want to ask Buckle Up Driving School if they offer one or both programs.
I have to register for a driver training class in Cincinnati Ohio before Ohio will give me my driver's license. Does Buckle Up Driving School offer this type of course?

What does the law in Ohio say about driver training courses? Do I have to take one to get my driver's license?
