Ltd Driving SchoolFAQ's

Is Ltd Driving School certified by the New Mexico DMV to offer behind-the-wheel training courses?
Although we include Ltd Driving School in our directory of driving schools for Las Cruces New Mexico, we cannot make any assurances about whether or not Ltd Driving School is certified by the New Mexico DMV.  You should contact Ltd Driving School directly and ask them if you are thinking about registering for their Las Cruces New Mexico driver training class.
Could I just have my mother or father give me my behind-the-wheel training instead of paying money to enroll in a professional driver training course?
It depends on which state you live in.  There are some states which allow you to complete your behind-the-wheel training with a parent or guardian instead of enrolling in a professional driving school.  However many states require that first-time drivers take a professionally-taught driver training course.  We recommend that you ask your state's DMV office to find out if your parent or guardian can fill the role as your behind-the-wheel driving instructor.
Do I need to tell Ltd Driving School that I need to train with an automatic-shift car? I don't know how to operate a manual-shift car.
Most new drivers don't know how to operate either a manual-shift OR and automatic-shift automobile!  We recommend that you ask Ltd Driving School if you can complete your driver training using an automatic-shift automobile before you enroll in their driver training course.
The area in which I live is mostly undeveloped--very few paved roads and mountains are all around. Will Ltd Driving School be able to teach me how to drive safely on bumpy terrain as well as in a city or town?
Considering that you live in a rural area, chances are excellent that a local driving school like Ltd Driving School will want you to be able to drive safely on dirt roads and other types of bumpy terrain.  You may wish to contact Ltd Driving School to find out exactly what their behind-the-wheel training course includes before enrolling in their training course.
Can I apply for my New Mexico learner's permit once I turn 14?
Most likely, no.  Most states have set the minimum age to obtain an instruction permit at 15 or 15½.  You may want to contact the New Mexico Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driver training school like Ltd Driving School to learn more about the minimum age requirement in New Mexico.
Will I be required to enroll in both a drivers education classroom or online course and a behind-the-wheel training course in Las Cruces New Mexico?
It depends on which state you live in, but many states now mandate new teen-aged drivers to enroll in both a drivers education course as well as a driver training course.
If I need to enroll in a Las Cruces New Mexico behind-the-wheel training program, can Ltd Driving School help?
Yes.  Ltd Driving School offers driving instruction in Las Cruces New Mexico.  For more information about the type of driver training Ltd Driving School offers and the training schedule, you should contact them directly.

Is there a law in New Mexico that says I have to take driver training in order to get my driver's license?
