A-List Driving SchoolFAQ's

How do I know if A-List Driving School is certified by Maryland's DMV to offer behind-the-wheel training courses?
While we do include A-List Driving School's contact information in our driving school directory, we cannot say with certainty as to whether A-List Driving School is licensed by the State of Maryland.  We recommend that you either contact A-List Driving School directly or possibly the Maryland DMV to find out if A-List Driving School is a certified driver training school.
Do I have to take a driver training course? Can't my parents just give me my behind-the-wheel training?
There are some states that do allow parents or guardians to provide their teen-aged kids' required driver training in order to obtain a driver's license.  However many states do not allow any type of substitution for attending a professionally-taught driver training course.  We suggest you contact your state's DMV to find out what the laws are in your state regarding behind-the-wheel training.
What happens if I don't know how to drive a stick-shift vehicle? Will A-List Driving School allow me to do my driver training with an automatic-shift car?
Considering you're a brand new driver, you probably don't know much about operating any type of vehicle--manual-shift or automatic-shift!  However, if you prefer to complete your behind-the-wheel training using an automatic-shift vehicle, you should contact A-List Driving School and inform them before you enroll in their driver training course.  That way you will know for certain if they will accommodate you.
I live in a small rural town, where there are a lot of small, unpaved roads. Will my driver training with A-List Driving School include learning how to drive in rural areas? Or do they just offer training for city driving?
Most local driving schools will likely want their students to be taught how to drive safely in the local area.  Therefore, chances are good that the behind-the-wheel training you receive from A-List Driving School will include handling dirt roads and mountain driving.
I just turned 14 years old. Can I receive my learner's permit in Maryland?
Probably not.  The minimum age requirement for holding a learners permit in most states is 15 1/2.  You should contact the Maryland Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driver training institute such as A-List Driving School to find out more information about the minimum age requirement in Maryland.
Do I have to take both a defensive driving classroom course and a driver training course in Crofton Maryland to get my Maryland driver's license?
The laws vary depending on which state you live in, but most states do require that pre-licensed drivers enroll in a defensive driving classroom course and a driver training course.  You may want to call a driving instruction company like A-List Driving School and find out if they offer either (or both) of these programs.
I have to take a behind-the-wheel training course in Crofton Maryland. Can I meet this requirement by registering with A-List Driving School?
Yes, A-List Driving School offers defensive driving courses in Crofton Maryland.  You will need to contact A-List Driving School directly to get more information on the types of courses they offer and when to sign up for a class.
What do I need to do to obtain a driver's license in Crofton Maryland?
It depends on Maryland's laws, but most states require new, teen-aged drivers to register for a safe driving classroom course as well as a driver training course.  You may want to call A-List Driving School to see if they offer the behind-the-wheel training course that would fulfill the regulations set forth by the Maryland DMV.
Is hands-on driver training required in Maryland in order to be licensed to drive a car?
Absolutely.  All new drivers in Maryland must register for an approved hands-on driver training course before they can get a license to independently drive a motor vehicle.
Can I register for a Maryland-certified behind-the-wheel training course even if I don't have my Maryland learners permit yet?
Most likely, no.  Most states have laws that require a pre-licensed driver to have obtained a Maryland instruction permit before registering in a Maryland driver training course.  It would be best for you to contact a driving school such as A-List Driving School and ask for more information.
