Corpus Christi Driving SchoolFAQ's

How do I know if Corpus Christi Driving School is licensed by Texas's DMV to offer driver training courses?
While we do include Corpus Christi Driving School's contact information in our driving school directory, we cannot say with certainty as to whether Corpus Christi Driving School is licensed by the State of Texas.  We recommend that you either contact Corpus Christi Driving School directly or possibly the Texas DMV to find out if Corpus Christi Driving School is a licensed driver training school.
Somebody told me that I can skip out of attending a driver training school if my parents give me behind-the-wheel training instead. Is that permissible in Texas?
Each state has its own rules regarding driver training.  Some states will allow parentally-supervised behind-the-wheel training as a substitute for enrolling in a behind-the-wheel training course which is taught by a professional driving instructor.  However, not all states allow this.  You should contact the Texas DMV to find out for sure.
Do I need to tell Corpus Christi Driving School that I need to train with an automatic-shift vehicle? I don't know how to operate a stick-shift vehicle.
Most new drivers don't know how to operate either a stick-shift OR and automatic-shift car!  We recommend that you ask Corpus Christi Driving School if you can complete your behind-the-wheel training using an automatic-shift vehicle before you register for their driver training course.
I live out in the middle of nowhere. There are rural and mountain roads everywhere. Will Corpus Christi Driving School train me how to drive in BOTH rural AND city areas?
If you live in a rural or mountain area, chances are that a local driving school like Corpus Christi Driving School will include behind-the-wheel driver training specifically tailored to that terrain.
If I'm 14, can I get a driver's permit to drive in Texas?
Possibly.  However, you should be aware that most states require you to be at least 15½ years old before you can get a learner's permit.  We recommend that you contact the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a certified driving school such as Corpus Christi Driving School to find out exactly what the minimum age requirement is in Texas.
Do I have to take both a drivers education classroom course and a behind-the-wheel training course in Corpus Christi Texas to get my Texas driver's license?
The laws vary depending on which state you live in, but most states do require that pre-licensed drivers enroll in a drivers education classroom course and a behind-the-wheel training course.  You may want to call a driving instruction company like Corpus Christi Driving School and find out if they offer either (or both) of these programs.

Do I have to take drivers education to get a Texas driver's license?
Drivers education requirements vary depending on which state you live in, but you should be aware that most states require new, teen-aged drivers to complete both a behind-the-wheel training course in addition to a safe driving classroom or online course.  You may wish to contact the Texas DMV to find out exactly what requirements you will need to meet in order to obtain your first driver's license.
Is there a law in Texas that requires me to take driver training in order to get my driver's license?
Yes.  State law in Texas mandates that all teen-agers successfully complete an approved driver training course before receiving a Texas driver's license.
Will Texas allow me to register for a behind-the-wheel training course before I actually receive my instruction permit?
You will need to contact your state's DMV office to find out.  However, most states require that you receive your learner's permit before you register with a driver training course.
