Frost Driving SchoolFAQ's

How do I know if Frost Driving School is licensed by Texas's DMV to offer behind-the-wheel training courses?
While we do include Frost Driving School's contact information in our driving school directory, we cannot say with certainty as to whether Frost Driving School is certified by the State of Texas.  We recommend that you either contact Frost Driving School directly or possibly the Texas DMV to find out if Frost Driving School is a licensed driver training school.
Will the Texas DMV allow my parents to supervise my driving practice instead of requiring me to take a behind-the-wheel training course at a state-approved driving school?
Possibly.  Some states will allow your parents to supervise your driving practice as a substitute to taking a behind-the-wheel driving course with a professional driving instructor.  You will need to contact the Texas DMV to find out if your behind-the-wheel driving may be done by your parents in Texas.

Since you're just learning how to drive, you probably don't know how to operate either a stick-shift or an automatic-shift vehicle!  However, if you have a preference as to a stick or an automatic, you probably should call Frost Driving School to see if they can accommodate your request prior to your enrolling in their driver training course.
What happens to those of us who live in a non-urban area? Will Frost Driving School include instruction on how to drive on dirt roads, mountain roads, and other rugged?

After I turn 14, will I be eligible to get my learner's permit so I can begin to learn how to drive?
It depends on which state you live in, however most states unfortunately require you to be at least 15 (or sometimes 15 1/2) before you can be issued a instruction permit.  We suggest that you contact a local driver training school such as Frost Driving School or the Texas DMV office to learn more about the minimum age requirement for driving in Texas.
Do I have to take a Belton Texas classroom or online drivers education course before I can enroll in a behind-the-wheel training course through Frost Driving School?
