Sage Technical Services, Inc.FAQ's

Are all the driving schools listed on your website fully-accredited by the Idaho DMV to offer behind-the-wheel training courses in Idaho?
The driving school directory on our website is for your convenience only, and we cannot absolutely guarantee that every driving school listed is currently accredited to offer behind-the-wheel training courses in Idaho.  We suggest you contact the Idaho DMV to make sure a particular driving school is accredited before you register for their driver training course.
Do you know if I can complete my behind-the-wheel training with my mother or father instead of attending a driving school like Sage Technical Services, Inc.?
Some states allow teen-agers to do their driver training with their parents instead of attending a professional driving school.  We recommend that you contact the Idaho DMV or Sage Technical Services, Inc. directly to find out if Idaho allows parent-taught behind-the-wheel training.
Do I need to tell Sage Technical Services, Inc. that I need to train with an automatic-shift car? I don't know how to operate a stick-shift vehicle.
Most new drivers don't know how to operate either a stick-shift OR and automatic-shift vehicle!  We recommend that you ask Sage Technical Services, Inc. if you can complete your driver training using an automatic-shift automobile before you register for their driver training course.
I live in a remote area, that has a lot of dirt roads and rugged terrain. Will Sage Technical Services, Inc. teach me how to drive in BOTH city AND rural environments?
If you live in a remote area, chances are very good that a local driver training school like Sage Technical Services, Inc. will want you to be taught how to drive safely on the local area's terrain.
Can I apply for my Idaho learner's permit once I turn 14?
Most likely, no.  Most states have set the minimum age to obtain an instruction permit at 15 or 15½.  You may want to contact the Idaho Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a certified driver training school like Sage Technical Services, Inc. to learn more about the minimum age requirement in Idaho.
Do I have to take a Coeur D'Alene Idaho classroom or online drivers education course before I can register for a driver training course through Sage Technical Services, Inc.?
This requirement varies from state to state but most states do require pre-licensed drivers to take BOTH a classroom-based defensive driving course (generally 30 hours in length) AND a behind-the-wheel training course.  You should ask Sage Technical Services, Inc. if they offer one or both programs.
If I need to register for a Coeur D'Alene Idaho driver training program, can Sage Technical Services, Inc. help?
Yes.  Sage Technical Services, Inc. offers driving instruction in Coeur D'Alene Idaho.  For more information about the type of behind-the-wheel training Sage Technical Services, Inc. offers and the training schedule, you should contact them directly.
Do I have to take drivers education to get a Idaho driver's license?
Drivers education requirements vary depending on which state you live in, but you should be aware that most states require new, teen-aged drivers to register for both a driver training course in addition to a drivers education classroom or online course.  You may wish to contact the Idaho DMV to find out exactly what requirements you will need to satisfy in order to obtain your first driver's license.
Is there a law in Idaho that says I have to take behind-the-wheel training in order to get my driver's license?
Yes.  State law in Idaho mandates that all teen-agers successfully complete an approved driver training course before receiving a Idaho driver's license.
Can I register for a Idaho-licensed driver training course even if I don't have my Idaho learners permit yet?
Most likely, no.  Most states have laws that require a pre-licensed driver to have obtained a Idaho learners permit before registering in a Idaho driver training course.  It would be best for you to contact a driving school such as Sage Technical Services, Inc. and ask for more information.
