S & S Driving SchoolFAQ's

Are all the driving schools listed on your website fully-licensed by the Colorado DMV to offer driver training courses in Colorado?
The driving school directory on our website is for your convenience only, and we cannot absolutely guarantee that every driving school listed is currently certified to offer driving training courses in Colorado.  We suggest you contact the Colorado DMV to make sure a particular driver training school is accredited before you sign up to take their driver training course.
Do you know if I can do my behind-the-wheel training with my mother or father instead of attending a behind-the-wheel training course like the ones offered by S & S Driving School?
Some states allow teen-agers to complete their behind-the-wheel training with their parents instead of attending a professional driving school.  We recommend that you contact the Colorado DMV or S & S Driving School directly to find out if Colorado allows parent-taught driver training.
What happens if I don't know how to operate a manual-shift vehicle? Will S & S Driving School allow me to do my driver training with an automatic-shift automobile?
Considering you're a brand new driver, you probably don't know much about operating any type of automobile--stick-shift or automatic-shift!  However, if you prefer to complete your driver training using an automatic-shift vehicle, you should contact S & S Driving School and inform them before you register for their behind-the-wheel training course.  That way you will know for certain if they will accommodate you.
What happens to those of us who live in a non-urban area? Will S & S Driving School include instruction on how to drive on dirt roads, mountain roads, and other rugged?
If you live in a remote location, there is a high probability that a local driver training school like S & S Driving School will either want--or even be required--to tailor their instruction towards driving safely in your particular locale.
Now that I'm 14, will Colorado allow me to get an instruction permit to drive?
Not likely.  Most states require residents to be at least 15 or 15 1/2 years old before applying for a learner's permit.  We recommend that your contact the Colorado DMV office or a Colorado-approved driver training institute such as S & S Driving School to learn more about the minimum driving age requirement in Colorado.
I live in Conohans Colorado. Does the law say I have to take both a drivers education classroom or online course and a driver training course in order to be fully-licensed here?
