Premier Driving AcademyFAQ's

Is Premier Driving Academy a certified driving school in Alabama?
Just because a driving school appears on our directory of driver training institutions, we cannot guarantee that they are fully licensed to offer driver training courses in Alabama.  We highly recommend that you contact Premier Driving Academy directly or the Alabama DMV to find out for sure if Premier Driving Academy offers hands-on driving courses that have been approved by the State of Alabama.
I heard that parents can fill the role of driving instructor in Alabama, so taking a Mobile driver training course like the one Premier Driving Academy offers is not necessary. Is that true?
You should contact the Alabama DMV or a licensed driver training school like Premier Driving Academy and ask them.  While parent-taught driving instruction is permitted in some states, many states do NOT allow it.
I don't know how to drive using a stick-shift. Will Premier Driving Academy have an automatic-shift car available that I can use for my driver training?
Since you're enrolling in a Mobile Alabama behind-the-wheel training class, chances are good that you don't know how to drive either a stick-shift OR an automatic!  However, you should let Premier Driving Academy know what your preference is before registering for their driver class.  That way you'll know for sure they will accommodate you.
I don't live anywhere near a city. There are unpaved roads and bumpy terrain all around my house. How do I know if Premier Driving Academy will train me on how to drive in a remote area like where I live and not just teach me how to drive in a town-or city-type environment?
Since Premier Driving Academy is a local driver training company in your area, it's a safe bet that Premier Driving Academy will be motivated (or perhaps required) to teach its local customers how to drive on rugged terrain.  If you want to make certain, however, you may want to call Premier Driving Academy to find out exactly what's included in their behind-the-wheel training course before you sign up with them.
Can 14-year-olds get learner's permits to drive in Alabama?
Most states have set the minimum age for applying for an instruction permit at 15 or 15 1/2.  However, some states do allow 14-year-olds to obtain an instruction permit.  You may want to contact the Alabama DMV or a Alabama-approved driver training school like Premier Driving Academy to find out what the minimum age to drive is in Alabama.
Will I be required to enroll in both a drivers education classroom or online course and a driver training course in Mobile Alabama?
It depends on which state you live in, but many states now require new teen-aged drivers to sign up for both a drivers education course as well as a behind-the-wheel training course.
If I need to register for a Mobile Alabama driving school, can Premier Driving Academy help?
Yes.  Premier Driving Academy offers behind-the-wheel training courses in Mobile Alabama.  For more information about the type of behind-the-wheel training Premier Driving Academy offers and the training schedule, you should contact them directly.
Exactly what type of driver education do I need in Mobile Alabama before I can get my Alabama driver's license?
The prerequisites for getting a driver's licenses vary from state to state, however most states now require teen-agers who are looking to get their first driver's license to sign up to take a drivers education classroom course as well as a behind-the-wheel training course.  We suggest that you contact a local driver training company such as Premier Driving Academy and ask if they offer a Alabama-approved  driver training course which would meet Alabama's driver's education requirements.
Is a behind-the-wheel training course required in Mobile Alabama for me to get a drivers license?
The law in Alabama requires that all drivers complete a driver training program as part of their driver education.  You should contact Premier Driving Academy directly to find out about the types of courses they offer.
Can I register for a Alabama-certified driver training course even if I don't have my Alabama instruction permit yet?
Most likely, no.  Most states have laws that mandate a pre-licensed driver to have obtained a Alabama instruction permit before registering in a Alabama driver training course.  It would be best for you to contact a driving school such as Premier Driving Academy and ask for more information.
