Are all the driving schools listed on your website fully-certified by the Iowa DMV to offer driver training courses in Iowa?
The driving school directory on our website is for your convenience only, and we cannot absolutely guarantee that every driving school listed is currently accredited to offer driving training courses in Iowa.  We suggest you contact the Iowa DMV to make sure a particular driver training school is certified before you enroll in their driving course.
Could I just have my mother or father give me my behind-the-wheel training instead of paying money to attend a professional driver training course?
It depends on which state you live in.  There are some states which permit you to complete your hands-on driver training with a parent or guardian instead of enrolling in a professional driving school.  However many states require that first-time drivers take a professionally-taught driver training course.  We recommend that you ask your state's DMV office to find out if your parent or guardian can fill the role as your behind-the-wheel driving instructor.
Do I need to tell Morris Xpress, Inc. that I need to train with an automatic-shift vehicle? I don't know how to drive a manual-shift vehicle.
Most new drivers don't know how to operate either a stick-shift OR and automatic-shift automobile!  We recommend that you ask Morris Xpress, Inc. if you can complete your behind-the-wheel training using an automatic-shift automobile before you register for their driver training course.
I live in a small rural town, where there are a lot of small, unpaved roads. Will my behind-the-wheel training with Morris Xpress, Inc. include being taught how to drive in remote areas? Or do they just offer training for city driving?
Most local driving schools will likely want their students to know how to drive safely in the local area.  Therefore, chances are good that the driver training you receive from Morris Xpress, Inc. will include handling unpaved roads and mountain driving.
After I turn 14, will I be eligible to obtain my learner's permit so I can begin to learn how to drive?
It depends on which state you live in, however most states unfortunately require you to be at least 15 (or sometimes 15 1/2) before you can be issued a instruction permit.  We suggest that you contact a local driver training school such as Morris Xpress, Inc. or the Iowa DMV office to learn more about the minimum age requirement for driving in Iowa.
I live in Burlington Iowa. Does the law say I have to enroll in both a drivers education classroom or online course and a behind-the-wheel training course in order to be fully-licensed here?
