All City Stick DrivingFAQ's

How do I know if All City Stick Driving is certified by California's DMV to offer behind-the-wheel training courses?
While we do include All City Stick Driving's contact information in our driving school directory, we cannot say with certainty as to whether All City Stick Driving is licensed by the State of California.  We recommend that you either contact All City Stick Driving directly or possibly the California DMV to find out if All City Stick Driving is a certified driver training school.
Will the California DMV allow my parents to supervise my driving practice instead of requiring me to take a behind-the-wheel training course at a state-approved driving school?
Possibly.  Some states will allow your parents to supervise your driving practice as a substitute to taking a driver training course with a professional driving instructor.  You will need to contact the California DMV to find out if your driver training may be done by your parents in California.
I don't know how to drive using a manual-shift. Will All City Stick Driving have an automatic-shift car available that I can use for my driver training?
Since you're enrolling in a San Diego California behind-the-wheel training class, chances are good that you don't know how to drive either a manual-shift OR an automatic!  However, you should let All City Stick Driving know what your preference is before registering for their behind-the-wheel class.  That way you'll know for sure they will accommodate you.
The area in which I live is mostly undeveloped--very few paved roads and mountains are all around. Will All City Stick Driving be able to teach me how to drive safely on rugged terrain as well as in a city or town?
Considering that you live in a rural area, chances are excellent that a local driving school like All City Stick Driving will want you to be able to drive safely on dirt roads and other types of bumpy terrain.  You may wish to contact All City Stick Driving to find out exactly what their driver training course includes before registering for their training course.
Are 14-year-olds eligible to apply for a instruction permit in California?
Although a few states allow teen-agers to begin practicing how to drive at 14, most states have set the minimum age for which to receive a learner's permit at either 15 or 15½.  You will need to contact the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a certified driving instruction company like All City Stick Driving to find out what the minimum age for driving is in California.
Will I be required to complete both a drivers education classroom or online course and a driver training course in San Diego California?
It depends on which state you live in, but many states now mandate new teen-aged drivers to sign up for both a drivers education course as well as a behind-the-wheel training course.
Does All City Stick Driving provide a hands-on driver training course like the one that is required by the State of California? I need to complete one in order to obtain my driver license.
All City Stick Driving offers hands-on driver training courses which are approved by the California DMV.  You may want to contact All City Stick Driving directly for more information about their courses and how to go about registering for one.
I live in San Diego California. What requirements must I meet to be able to get my first California driver's license?
It depends on the particular laws of California, but most states require teen-aged first-time license applicants to successfully complete both a drivers education classroom course and a behind-the-wheel training course.  All City Stick Driving may offer courses which would meet the behind-the-wheel training requirement, however you will need to contact them directly to find out exactly what types of courses they offer.
I live in San Diego California and would like to apply for my first driver's license. Do I need to take a driver training course before I can be licensed?
