A Plus Safety LLCFAQ's

Are all the driving schools listed on your website fully-certified by the California DMV to offer behind-the-wheel training courses in California?
The driving school directory on our website is for your convenience only, and we cannot absolutely guarantee that every driving school listed is currently licensed to offer behind-the-wheel training courses in California.  We suggest you contact the California DMV to make sure a particular driving school is certified before you register for their driver training course.
Somebody told me that I can skip out of attending a driver training school if my parents give me behind-the-wheel training instead. Is that permissible in California?
Each state has its own rules regarding behind-the-wheel training.  Some states will allow parentally-supervised driver training as a substitute for taking a behind-the-wheel training course which is taught by a professional driving instructor.  However, not all states allow this.  You should contact the California DMV to find out for sure.
I have no clue how to drive a stick-shift vehicle. What happens if A Plus Safety LLC makes me train on a manual-shift vehicle?
Considering the fact you are a brand new driver, you probably don't know much about operating ANY type of vehicle....manual OR automatic!  If you prefer to do your behind-the-wheel training with an automatic-shift vehicle, you may want to call A Plus Safety LLC and let them know before you sign up to take their driver training course.  That way you'll know for sure whether A Plus Safety LLC can accommodate you before you pay them any money.
I live in a very remote area, where there are mountains and a lot of dirt roads. Do you know if A Plus Safety LLC offers training for driving in rural areas like where I live instead of just driving on smooth, paved roads in city areas?
Since you live in a rural area, a local driving school such as A Plus Safety LLC will tailor your behind-the-wheel training to handle the conditions in your area.
If I'm 14, can I get a driver's permit to drive in California?
Possibly.  However, you should be aware that most states require you to be at least 15½ years old before you can get a learner's permit.  We recommend that you contact the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a certified driving school such as A Plus Safety LLC to find out exactly what the minimum age requirement is in California.
Do I have to complete a Redding California drivers education classroom course or online course before registering for one of A Plus Safety LLC's driver training courses?
Each state has its own laws, but most states will require first-time drivers to take both a driver training course plus either a defensive driving classroom course (which are about 30 hours in length) or an approved online drivers education course.  You may want to ask A Plus Safety LLC if they offer one or both programs.
I am looking to enroll in a Redding California defensive driving course. Can A Plus Safety LLC assist me with this?
Yes.  defensive driving courses are available in Redding California through A Plus Safety LLC.  Please contact A Plus Safety LLC directly with questions regarding their schedule of classes and registration information.
Exactly what type of driver education do I need in Redding California before I can get my California driver's license?
The prerequisites for getting a driver's licenses vary from state to state, however most states now require teen-agers who are looking to get their first driver's license to complete a drivers education classroom course as well as a behind-the-wheel training course.  We suggest that you contact a local driver training company such as A Plus Safety LLC and ask if they offer a California-approved  driver training course which would fulfill California's driver's education requirements.
Is there a law in California that requires me to take behind-the-wheel training in order to get my driver's license?
Yes.  State law in California requires that all teen-agers enroll in an approved driver training course before receiving a California driver's license.
Will California allow me to register for a driver training course before I actually get my instruction permit?
You will need to contact your state's DMV office to find out.  However, most states require that you receive your instruction permit before you enroll in a driver training course.
