Idaho Driver License Requirements at-a-glance:

*The Minimum Age To Acquire a Learning Permit is 14 years and 6 months
*Six Months is the Holding Period for a Learner’s Permit
*Supervised Driving Minimum is 50 hours, including 10 hours at night
*Minimum Age is 15 years for Driver’s License (completion of all requirements for drivers education is mandatory)
*Road Test Must Be Taken
*If under 16 years of age, there are rules for unsupervised driving, allowing only daylight driving
*Passenger Rules for holders of Driver’s License under age of 18 state that they are only allowed to have 1 passenger, unless accompanied by a licensed supervising driver
*Any other applicants under the age of 17 must complete drivers education
