Adrian and AssociatesFAQ's

Adrian and Associates's address and phone number is listed on your webpage. How can I know for sure if it is a licensed behind the wheel training school in California?
Even though we provide a list of behind-the-wheel training schools on our website, we have no way of knowing for sure as to whether or not a particular school is licensed by the California DMV to offer driver training courses.  We strongly suggest that you contact Adrian and Associates directly or check with the California DMV to find out for sure if Adrian and Associates is a licensed school.
Somebody told me that I can skip out of attending a driver training school if my parents give me behind-the-wheel training instead. Is that permissible in California?
Each state has its own rules regarding driver training.  Some states will allow parentally-supervised driver training as a substitute for enrolling in a driver training course which is taught by a professional driving instructor.  However, not all states allow this.  You should contact the California DMV to find out for sure.
I have no clue how to drive a manual-shift vehicle. What happens if Adrian and Associates makes me train on a stick-shift vehicle?
Considering the fact you are a brand new driver, you probably don't know much about operating ANY type of vehicle....manual OR automatic!  If you prefer to do your hands-on driver training with an automatic-shift vehicle, you may want to call Adrian and Associates and let them know before you enroll in their behind-the-wheel training course.  That way you'll know for certain whether Adrian and Associates can accommodate you before you pay them any money.
I live out in the middle of nowhere. There are rural and mountain roads everywhere. Will Adrian and Associates teach me how to drive in BOTH rural AND city areas?
If you live in a rural or mountain town, chances are that a local driving instruction institute like Adrian and Associates will include behind-the-wheel driver training specifically tailored to that terrain.
If I'm 14, can I get a driver's permit to drive in California?
Possibly.  However, you should be aware that most states require you to be at least 15½ years old before you can get an instruction permit.  We recommend that you contact the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a certified driving school such as Adrian and Associates to find out exactly what the minimum age requirement is in California.
Do you know if the laws in California require new teen-aged drivers to take a behind-the-wheel training course in addition to a drivers education classroom or online course?
The laws vary from state to state, but many states do require you to register for a behind-the-wheel training course with "hands-on" practice in addition to a driver ed classroom or online course.
I am looking to register for a Lancaster California drivers education course. Can Adrian and Associates assist me with this?

Do I have to take drivers education to get a California driver's license?
Drivers education requirements vary depending on which state you live in, but you should be aware that most states require new, teen-aged drivers to register for both a driver training course in addition to a drivers education classroom or online course.  You may wish to contact the California DMV to find out exactly what requirements you will need to fulfill in order to obtain your first driver's license.
Is there a law in California that requires me to take driver training in order to get my driver's license?
Yes.  State law in California mandates that all teen-agers successfully complete an approved behind-the-wheel training course before receiving a California driver's license.
Can I register for a California driver training course prior to having my California learners permit?
Most states require pre-licensed drivers to hold a instruction permit before being permitted to sign up to take a driver training course.  You should contact a driving school like Adrian and Associates and ask for more information.
