How do I know if Fuji Driving School is certified by California's DMV to offer behind-the-wheel training courses?
While we do include Fuji Driving School's contact information in our driving school directory, we cannot say with certainty as to whether Fuji Driving School is licensed by the State of California.  We recommend that you either contact Fuji Driving School directly or possibly the California DMV to find out if Fuji Driving School is a licensed driver training school.
Do I have to take a driver training course? Can't my parents just give me my driver training?
There are some states that do permit parents or guardians to provide their teen-aged kids' required driver training in order to obtain a driver's license.  However many states do not allow any type of substitution for taking a professionally-taught driver training course.  We suggest you contact your state's DMV to find out what the laws are in your state regarding behind-the-wheel training.
Do I need to tell Fuji Driving School that I need to train with an automatic-shift automobile? I don't know how to drive a stick-shift car.
Most new drivers don't know how to operate either a manual-shift OR and automatic-shift vehicle!  We recommend that you ask Fuji Driving School if you can complete your behind-the-wheel training using an automatic-shift automobile before you sign up to take their driver training course.
What happens to those of us who live in a rural area? Will Fuji Driving School include instruction on how to drive on dirt roads, mountain roads, and other rugged?
If you live in a rural location, there is a high probability that a local driving school like Fuji Driving School will either want--or even be required--to tailor their instruction towards driving safely in your particular area.
Can I apply for my California learner's permit once I turn 14?
Most likely, no.  Most states have set the youngest age to obtain an instruction permit at 15 or 15½.  You may want to contact the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driver training school like Fuji Driving School to learn more about the minimum age requirement in California.
Is taking a drivers education course in a classroom or online sufficient in Torrance California or do I also have to take a driver training class with a professional driving instructor?
