Are all the driving schools listed on your website fully-licensed by the Indiana DMV to offer driver training courses in Indiana?
The driving school directory on our website is for your convenience only, and we cannot absolutely guarantee that every driving school listed is currently certified to offer driving training courses in Indiana.  We suggest you contact the Indiana DMV to make sure a particular driving school is certified before you enroll in their driver training course.
Do I have to take a driver training course? Can't my parents just give me my behind-the-wheel training?
There are some states that do permit parents or guardians to provide their teen-aged kids' required driver training in order to obtain a driver's license.  However many states do not allow any type of substitution for attending a professionally-taught driver training course.  We suggest you contact your state's DMV to find out what the laws are in your state regarding hands-on driving instruction.
I don't know how to drive using a stick-shift. Will Wayne Winston have an automatic-shift car available that I can use for my driver training?
Since you're enrolling in a Bloomington Indiana driver training class, chances are good that you don't know how to drive either a stick-shift OR an automatic!  However, you should let Wayne Winston know what your preference is before registering for their driver class.  That way you'll know for sure they will accommodate you.
I don't live anywhere near a city. There are dirt roads and bumpy terrain all around my house. How do I know if Wayne Winston will train me on how to drive in a remote area like where I live and not just teach me how to drive in a town-or city-type environment?
Since Wayne Winston is a local driver training company in your area, it's a safe bet that Wayne Winston will be motivated (or perhaps required) to teach its local customers how to drive on rough terrain.  If you want to make certain, however, you may want to call Wayne Winston to find out exactly what's included in their behind-the-wheel training course before you sign up with them.
Can 14-year-olds get instruction permits to drive in Indiana?
Most states have set the minimum age for applying for a learner's permit at 15 or 15 1/2.  However, some states do allow 14-year-olds to obtain a learner's permit.  You may want to contact the Indiana DMV or a Indiana-approved driver training school like Wayne Winston to find out what the minimum age to drive is in Indiana.
Do I have to take both a drivers education classroom course and a behind-the-wheel training course in Bloomington Indiana to get my Indiana driver's license?
The laws vary depending on which state you live in, but most states do require that pre-licensed drivers enroll in a defensive driving classroom course and a driver training course.  You may want to call a driving instruction company like Wayne Winston and find out if they offer either (or both) of these programs.
