Can you tell me if Lee's Driving School is a licensed driving school in Rhode Island?
Although Lee's Driving School is listed on our list of driving schools in your area, we are unable to say with certainty as to whether they are currently approved to teach behind-the-wheel training courses in Rhode Island.  We recommend either calling Lee's Driving School directly or the Rhode Island DMV to find out whether or not Lee's Driving School offers driver training courses that are state-approved.
Do I have to take a driver training course? Can't my parents just give me my behind-the-wheel training?
There are some states that do allow parents or guardians to provide their teen-aged kids' required driver training in order to obtain a driver's license.  However many states do not allow any type of substitution for attending a professionally-taught behind-the-wheel training course.  We suggest you contact your state's DMV to find out what the laws are in your state regarding hands-on driving instruction.
Do you know if Lee's Driving School will let me complete my driver training using an automatic-shift vehicle? I don't know anything about using a stick-shift.
Considering you're a brand new driver, you probably don't know a whole lot about driving ANY type of vehicle, be it a manual OR an automatic!  Nevertheless, if you have a preference, you probably should contact Lee's Driving School and see if they can accommodate you before registering for their driver training course.
The area in which I live is mostly undeveloped--very few paved roads and mountains are all around. Will Lee's Driving School be able to teach me how to drive safely on bumpy terrain as well as in a city or town?
Considering that you live in a rural area, chances are excellent that a local driving school like Lee's Driving School will want you to be able to drive safely on dirt roads and other types of bumpy terrain.  You may wish to contact Lee's Driving School to find out exactly what their driver training course includes before enrolling in their training course.
If I'm 14, can I get an instruction permit to drive in Rhode Island?
Possibly.  However, you should be aware that most states require you to be at least 15½ years old before you can get an instruction permit.  We recommend that you contact the Rhode Island Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a certified driving school such as Lee's Driving School to find out exactly what the minimum age requirement is in Rhode Island.
Is taking a drivers education course in a classroom or online sufficient in Woonsocket Rhode Island or do I also have to successfully complete a behind-the-wheel training class with a professional driving instructor?
It depends on what the Rhode Island's laws require, but many states do mandate that new, young drivers to register for a behind-the-wheel training class with a professional driving instructor as well as a drivers education classroom or online course.
