Schwartz Driver TrainingFAQ's

Can you tell me if Schwartz Driver Training is a licensed driving school in Ohio?
Although Schwartz Driver Training is listed on our list of driving schools in your area, we are unable to say with certainty as to whether they are currently approved to teach driver training courses in Ohio.  We recommend either calling Schwartz Driver Training directly or the Ohio DMV to find out whether or not Schwartz Driver Training offers driver training courses that are state-approved.
Somebody told me that I can skip out of attending a driver training school if my parents give me behind-the-wheel training instead. Is that permissible in Ohio?
Each state has its own laws regarding driver training.  Some states will allow parentally-supervised behind-the-wheel training as a substitute for taking a behind-the-wheel training course which is taught by a professional driving instructor.  However, not all states allow this.  You should contact the Ohio DMV to find out for sure.
What if I don't know how to operate a vehicle with a stick-shift? Does Schwartz Driver Training have an automatic-shift vehicle they'll let me train with?
Since you're just learning how to drive, you probably don't know how to operate either a manual-shift or an automatic-shift vehicle!  However, if you have a preference as to a stick or an automatic, you probably should call Schwartz Driver Training to see if they can accommodate your request prior to your enrolling in their driver training course.
I don't live anywhere near a city. There are dirt roads and rugged terrain all around my house. How do I know if Schwartz Driver Training will train me on how to drive in a remote area like where I live and not just teach me how to drive in a town-or city-type environment?
Since Schwartz Driver Training is a local driver training company in your area, it's a safe bet that Schwartz Driver Training will be motivated (or perhaps required) to teach its local customers how to drive on bumpy terrain.  If you want to make certain, however, you may want to call Schwartz Driver Training to find out exactly what's included in their behind-the-wheel training course before you sign up with them.
If I'm 14, can I get a driver's permit to drive in Ohio?
Possibly.  However, you should be aware that most states require you to be at least 15½ years old before you can get an instruction permit.  We recommend that you contact the Ohio Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a certified driving school such as Schwartz Driver Training to find out exactly what the minimum age requirement is in Ohio.
Do I have to complete a Grove City Ohio drivers education classroom course or online course before registering for one of Schwartz Driver Training's driver training courses?
Each state has its own rules, but most states will require first-time drivers to take both a driver training course plus either a defensive driving classroom course (which are about 30 hours in length) or an approved online defensive driving course.  You may want to ask Schwartz Driver Training if they offer one or both programs.
Ohio law says that I must sign up to take a behind-the-wheel training course in order to get licensed to drive in Grove City Ohio. Is this something that Schwartz Driver Training can help me with?
Yes, Schwartz Driver Training offers the Ohio-approved hands-on driver training course.  For more information about their classes and instruction schedule, please contact Schwartz Driver Training directly.
What type of driver ed do I need before Ohio will give me a driver's license?
Each state has its own requirements concerning drivers education, although you should know that most states now require all new, young drivers to enroll in a drivers education classroom or online course as well as a behind-the-wheel training course.  Schwartz Driver Training may be able to help you fulfill the behind-the-wheel training requirement in Ohio.  Please contact either Schwartz Driver Training or the Ohio DMV for more information.
