Safety 1st Driver EducationFAQ's

Since Safety 1st Driver Education appears on your website, does this mean they are approved by the Georgia DMV to offer behind-the-wheel training courses?
The list of driving schools on our webpage is provided as a convenience to our customers only.  We CANNOT guarantee that every single school listed is fully-certified by the Georgia DMV.  You may want to call Safety 1st Driver Education directly to find out if they offer a state-certified behind-the-wheel training course.
Do I have to take a driver training course? Can't my parents just give me my driver training?
There are some states that do permit parents or guardians to provide their teen-aged kids' required behind-the-wheel training in order to obtain a driver's license.  However many states do not allow any type of substitution for enrolling in a professionally-taught driver training course.  We suggest you contact your state's DMV to find out what the laws are in your state regarding behind-the-wheel training.
I have no clue how to drive a manual-shift vehicle. What happens if Safety 1st Driver Education makes me train on a stick-shift vehicle?
Considering the fact you are a brand new driver, you probably don't know much about operating ANY type of vehicle....stick OR automatic!  If you prefer to do your behind-the-wheel training with an automatic-shift vehicle, you may want to call Safety 1st Driver Education and let them know before you enroll in their driver training course.  That way you'll know for certain whether Safety 1st Driver Education can accommodate you before you pay them any money.
The area in which I live is mostly undeveloped--very few paved roads and mountains are all around. Will Safety 1st Driver Education be able to teach me how to drive safely on rugged terrain as well as in a city or town?
Considering that you live in a remote area, chances are excellent that a local driving school like Safety 1st Driver Education will want you to be able to drive safely on unpaved roads and other types of rugged terrain.  You may wish to contact Safety 1st Driver Education to find out exactly what their behind-the-wheel training course includes before signing up to take their training course.
If I'm 14, can I get a driver's permit to drive in Georgia?
Possibly.  However, you should be aware that most states require you to be at least 15½ years old before you can get a learner's permit.  We recommend that you contact the Georgia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driving school such as Safety 1st Driver Education to find out exactly what the minimum age requirement is in Georgia.
Will I be required to sign up for both a drivers education classroom or online course and a behind-the-wheel training course in Brunswick Georgia?
It depends on which state you live in, but many states now require new teen-aged drivers to register for both a drivers education course as well as a driver training course.
Georgia law says that I must enroll in a hands-on driver training course in order to get licensed to drive in Brunswick Georgia. Is this something that Safety 1st Driver Education can help me with?
