Is Jr's Driving School certified by the Illinois DMV to offer behind-the-wheel training courses?

Could I just have my mother or father give me my behind-the-wheel training instead of paying money to take a professional driver training course?
It depends on which state you live in.  There are some states which permit you to complete your behind-the-wheel training with a parent or guardian instead of attending a professional driving school.  However many states require that first-time drivers take a professionally-taught driver training course.  We recommend that you check with your state's DMV office to find out if your parent or guardian can fill the role as your behind-the-wheel driving instructor.
I have no clue how to drive a manual-shift vehicle. What happens if Jr's Driving School makes me train on a stick-shift vehicle?
Considering the fact you are a brand new driver, you probably don't know much about operating ANY type of vehicle....stick OR automatic!  If you prefer to do your behind-the-wheel training with an automatic-shift vehicle, you may want to call Jr's Driving School and let them know before you sign up to take their driver training course.  That way you'll know for sure whether Jr's Driving School will be able to accommodate you before you pay them any money.
What happens to those of us who live in a rural area? Will Jr's Driving School include instruction on how to drive on dirt roads, mountain roads, and other bumpy terrain?
If you live in a rural location, there is a high probability that a local driver training school like Jr's Driving School will either want--or even be required--to tailor their instruction towards driving safely in your particular locale.
After I turn 14, will I be eligible to get my learner's permit so I can begin to learn how to drive?
It depends on which state you live in, however most states unfortunately require you to be at least 15 (or sometimes 15 1/2) before you can be issued a learner's permit.  We suggest that you contact a local driver training school such as Jr's Driving School or the Illinois DMV office to learn more about the minimum age requirement for driving in Illinois.
Am I required to take a Springfield Illinois classroom or online drivers education course before I can register for a behind-the-wheel training course through Jr's Driving School?
This requirement varies by state but most states do require new teen-aged drivers to take BOTH a classroom-based driver education course (generally 30 hours in length) AND a driver training course.  You should ask Jr's Driving School if they offer one or both programs.
