Lowcost Driving SchoolFAQ's

Is Lowcost Driving School a certified driving school in Georgia?
Just because a driving school appears on our directory of driver training institutions, we cannot guarantee that they are fully licensed to offer behind-the-wheel training courses in Georgia.  We highly recommend that you contact Lowcost Driving School directly or the Georgia DMV to find out for sure if Lowcost Driving School offers driver training courses that have been approved by the State of Georgia.
I heard that parents can fill the role of driving supervisor in Georgia, so taking a Norcross behind-the-wheel training course like the one Lowcost Driving School offers is not necessary. Is that true?
You should contact the Georgia DMV or a licensed driving school like Lowcost Driving School and ask them.  While parent-taught driving instruction is permitted in some states, many states do NOT allow it.
Do you know if Lowcost Driving School will let me complete my behind-the-wheel training using an automatic-shift vehicle? I don't know anything about using a manual-shift.
Considering you're a brand new driver, you probably don't know a whole lot about driving ANY type of vehicle, be it a stick OR an automatic!  Nevertheless, if you have a preference, you probably should contact Lowcost Driving School and see if they can accommodate you before registering for their behind-the-wheel training course.
I live in a small rural town, where there are a lot of small, unpaved roads. Will my driver training with Lowcost Driving School include being taught how to drive in remote areas? Or do they just offer training for urban driving?
Most local driving schools will likely want their students to be taught how to drive safely in the local area.  Therefore, chances are good that the behind-the-wheel training you receive from Lowcost Driving School will include handling unpaved roads and mountain driving.
After I turn 14, will I be eligible to obtain my instruction permit so I can begin to learn how to drive?
It depends on which state you live in, however most states unfortunately require you to be at least 15 (or sometimes 15 1/2) before you can be issued a learner's permit.  We suggest that you contact a local driver training school such as Lowcost Driving School or the Georgia DMV office to learn more about the minimum age requirement for driving in Georgia.
Am I required to take a Norcross Georgia classroom or online drivers education course before I can enroll in a behind-the-wheel training course through Lowcost Driving School?
This requirement varies by state but most states do mandate pre-licensed drivers to take BOTH a classroom-based driver education course (generally 30 hours in length) AND a behind-the-wheel training course.  You should ask Lowcost Driving School if they offer one or both programs.
Georgia law says that I must successfully complete a hands-on driver training course in order to get licensed to drive in Norcross Georgia. Is this something that Lowcost Driving School can help me with?
Yes, Lowcost Driving School offers the Georgia-approved hands-on driver training course.  For more information about their classes and instruction schedule, please contact Lowcost Driving School directly.
Exactly what type of driver training do I need in Norcross Georgia before I can get my Georgia driver's license?
The prerequisites for getting a driver's licenses vary from state to state, however most states now require teen-agers who are looking to get their first driver's license to complete a drivers education classroom course as well as a driver training course.  We suggest that you contact a local driver training company such as Lowcost Driving School and ask if they offer a Georgia-approved  driver training course which would fulfill Georgia's driver's education requirements.
Is there a law in Georgia that says I have to take driver training in order to get my driver's license?
Yes.  State law in Georgia mandates that all teen-agers enroll in an approved behind-the-wheel training course before receiving a Georgia driver's license.
Will Georgia allow me to register for a behind-the-wheel training course before I actually get my learner's permit?
You will need to contact your state's DMV office to find out.  However, most states require that you receive your learner's permit before you enroll in a behind-the-wheel training course.
