Somebody told me that I can skip out of attending a driver training school if my parents give me behind-the-wheel training instead. Is that permissible in Texas?
Each state has its own laws regarding behind-the-wheel training.  Some states will allow parentally-supervised driver training as a substitute for attending a driver training course which is taught by a professional driving instructor.  However, not all states allow this.  You should contact the Texas DMV to find out for sure.
I don't know how to drive using a stick-shift. Will Classic Driving School, Inc. have an automatic-shift car available that I can use for my driver training?
Since you're enrolling in a Plano Texas driver training class, chances are good that you don't know how to drive either a stick-shift OR an automatic!  However, you should let Classic Driving School, Inc. know what your preference is before enrolling in their driver class.  That way you'll know for sure they will accommodate you.
Since I live way out in a remote location where driving on unpaved roads and rugged terrain is the norm, will Classic Driving School, Inc. be able to teach me how to drive in a non-urban environment? Or do they only prepare you for city-driving?
Since you live in the country, odds are that any local driving school in your area such as Classic Driving School, Inc. will want you to be able to drive safely on unpaved roads and rugged terrain.  We recommend that you contact Classic Driving School, Inc. directly to find out exactly what they offer.
Now that I'm 14, will Texas allow me to get a learner's permit to drive?
Not likely.  Most states require residents to be at least 15 or 15 1/2 years old before applying for a learner's permit.  We recommend that your contact the Texas DMV office or a Texas-approved driver training institute such as Classic Driving School, Inc. to learn more about the minimum driving age requirement in Texas.
Do I have to take both a defensive driving classroom course and a driver training course in Plano Texas to get my Texas driver's license?
The laws vary depending on which state you live in, but most states do require that pre-licensed drivers sign up to take a defensive driving classroom course and a behind-the-wheel training course.  You may want to call a driving instruction company like Classic Driving School, Inc. and find out if they offer either (or both) of these programs.

What does the law in Texas say about driver training courses? Do I have to take one to get my driver's license?
