While we do include MasterDrive, Inc.'s contact information in our driving school directory, we cannot say with certainty as to whether MasterDrive, Inc. is certified by the State of California.  We recommend that you either contact MasterDrive, Inc. directly or possibly the California DMV to find out if MasterDrive, Inc. is a licensed driver training school.
Is it true that my mom or dad can be my driving instructor when I do my behind-the-wheel training instead of a professional driver training school instructor like the ones they have at MasterDrive, Inc.?
It depends on what your state's laws are.  You should contact the California DMV or a licensed driving school like MasterDrive, Inc. to find out if California allows driver training with a parent.
Do I need to tell MasterDrive, Inc. that I need to train with an automatic-shift automobile? I don't know how to drive a stick-shift automobile.
Most new drivers don't know how to operate either a manual-shift OR and automatic-shift vehicle!  We recommend that you ask MasterDrive, Inc. if you can complete your behind-the-wheel training using an automatic-shift automobile before you sign up to take their driver training course.
I live in a rural area, that has a lot of dirt roads and bumpy terrain. Will MasterDrive, Inc. teach me how to drive in BOTH city AND rural environments?
If you live in a rural area, chances are very good that a local driver training school like MasterDrive, Inc. will want you to be taught how to drive safely on the local area's terrain.
If I'm 14, can I get a driver's permit to drive in California?
Possibly.  However, you should be aware that most states require you to be at least 15½ years old before you can get a learner's permit.  We recommend that you contact the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driving school such as MasterDrive, Inc. to find out exactly what the minimum age requirement is in California.
Do I have to take both a defensive driving classroom course and a driver training course in Irvine California to get my California driver's license?
The laws vary depending on which state you live in, but most states do require that pre-licensed drivers enroll in a defensive driving classroom course and a driver training course.  You may want to call a driving instruction company like MasterDrive, Inc. and find out if they offer either (or both) of these programs.
