Santa Fe Driving SchoolFAQ's

Santa Fe Driving School's contact information is listed on your webpage. How can I know for sure if it is an approved behind the wheel training school in California?
Even though we provide a list of driver training schools on our website, we have no way of knowing for sure as to whether or not a particular school is certified by the California DMV to offer behind-the-wheel training courses.  We strongly suggest that you contact Santa Fe Driving School directly or check with the California DMV to find out for sure if Santa Fe Driving School is a licensed school.
Could I just have my mother or father give me my behind-the-wheel training instead of paying money to enroll in a professional behind-the-wheel training course?
It depends on which state you live in.  There are some states which permit you to complete your hands-on driver training with a parent or guardian instead of enrolling in a professional driving school.  However many states require that first-time drivers take a professionally-taught driver training course.  We recommend that you ask your state's DMV office to find out if your parent or guardian can fill the role as your behind-the-wheel driving instructor.
I don't know how to drive using a stick-shift. Will Santa Fe Driving School have an automatic-shift car available that I can use for my behind-the-wheel training?
Since you're enrolling in a Hanford California driver training class, chances are good that you don't know how to drive either a stick-shift OR an automatic!  However, you should let Santa Fe Driving School know what your preference is before registering for their driver class.  That way you'll know for sure they will accommodate you.
What happens to those of us who live in a rural area? Will Santa Fe Driving School include instruction on how to drive on dirt roads, mountain roads, and other bumpy terrain?
If you live in a rural location, there is a high probability that a local driver training school like Santa Fe Driving School will either want--or even be required--to tailor their instruction towards driving safely in your particular area.
I just turned 14 years old. Am I eligible to apply for my learner's permit in California?
Probably not.  The minimum age requirement for holding a learners permit in most states is 15 1/2.  You should contact the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driver training institute such as Santa Fe Driving School to find out more information about the minimum age requirement in California.
Is taking a drivers education course in a classroom or online sufficient in Hanford California or do I also have to take a behind-the-wheel training class with a professional driving instructor?
It depends on what the California's laws require, but many states do mandate that new, young drivers to take a behind-the-wheel training class with a professional driving instructor as well as a drivers education classroom or online course.
I have to take a behind-the-wheel training course in Hanford California. Can I meet this requirement by enrolling in Santa Fe Driving School?
Yes, Santa Fe Driving School offers drivers education courses in Hanford California.  You will need to contact Santa Fe Driving School directly to get more information on the types of courses they offer and when to register for a class.
What do I need to do to get a California drivers license in Hanford California?
Most states require that teen-agers who are applying for their first driver's license complete both a drivers education classroom course and a behind-the-wheel training course.  Santa Fe Driving School may be able to help you meet the driver training portion in California.  Please contact Santa Fe Driving School for more information.

Do I have to take a Hanford California driver training course in order to get a driver's license?
Yes.  All drivers in California must enroll in an approved driver training course in order to be licensed to operate a motor vehicle.  Please contact Santa Fe Driving School for information on the types of driver training courses they offer in Hanford California.
Can I enroll in a California-certified driver training course even if I don't have my California instruction permit yet?
Most likely, no.  Most states have laws that require a pre-licensed driver to have obtained a California instruction permit before registering in a California behind-the-wheel training course.  It would be best for you to contact a driving school such as Santa Fe Driving School and ask for more information.
