How do I know if A Z Driving School is certified by Virginia's DMV to offer behind-the-wheel training courses?
While we do include A Z Driving School's contact information in our driving school directory, we cannot say with certainty as to whether A Z Driving School is certified by the State of Virginia.  We recommend that you either contact A Z Driving School directly or possibly the Virginia DMV to find out if A Z Driving School is a licensed driver training school.
Will the Virginia DMV allow my parents to supervise my driving practice instead of requiring me to take a behind-the-wheel training course at a state-approved driving school?
Possibly.  Some states will allow your parents to supervise your driving practice as a substitute to taking a behind-the-wheel driving course with a professional driving instructor.  You will need to contact the Virginia DMV to find out if your behind-the-wheel driving may be done by your parents in Virginia.
I can't drive a manual-shift. Will A Z Driving School allow me to complete my driver training on an automatic-shift vehicle?
We recommend that you contact A Z Driving School and ask them if you can do your driver training using a vehicle that has an automatic shift before registering for their driver training course.
I live in a small rural town, where there are a lot of small, unpaved roads. Will my driver training with A Z Driving School include learning how to drive in rural areas? Or do they just offer training for city driving?
Most local driving schools will likely want their students to know how to drive safely in the local area.  Therefore, chances are good that the behind-the-wheel training you receive from A Z Driving School will include handling dirt roads and mountain driving.
Now that I'm 14, will Virginia allow me to get a learner's permit to drive?
Not likely.  Most states require residents to be at least 15 or 15 1/2 years old before applying for a learner's permit.  We recommend that your contact the Virginia DMV office or a Virginia-approved driving school such as A Z Driving School to learn more about the minimum driving age requirement in Virginia.
