You're free to apply for your first "real" license--the Chevak Alaska provisional license--as soon as you've had your learner's license for at least 6 months or you turn 18, whichever comes first. Driving is a privilege, not a right. There are several restrictions you need to keep in mind regarding your Chevak Alaska driver's license or Chevak Alaska learner's permit.

You cannot drive with passengers under 21 (except siblings).
